On October 29, 2019, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, released a special commemorative coin to honour the 125th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda. (To read full article please click here)
The specially minted Quaternary Alloy Coin, weighs 35 grams and is 44mm in diameter. The metal composition is as follows:

On the obverse is the denomination of Rs. 125 along with imprint of Ashoka Pillar and name of India in English and Hindi. On the reverse the image of Paramahansa Yogananda is imprinted along with 1893-2018 mentioned below it. Along the border the words “125th Birth Anniversary of Paramahansa Yogananda” is imprinted in Hindi on the top and in English at the bottom.
