It is Mahavatar Babaji who revived in this age the lost scientific meditation technique of Kriya Yoga….Shortly before Paramahansa Yogananda left for America in 1920, Mahavatar Babaji came to Yoganandaji’s home in Calcutta, where the young monk sat deeply praying for divine assurance regarding the mission he was about to undertake. Babaji said to him: “Follow the behest of your guru and go to America. Fear not; you shall be protected. You are the one I have chosen to spread the message of Kriya Yoga in the West.”
On the occasion of Mahavatar Babaji’s Smriti Divas, a two-day programme was held on July 24 and 25 at Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Ashram – Dwarahat. On July 24, YSS sannyasis conducted review classes of YSS meditation techniques. The following day, July 25, a Yatra (procession) to Mahavatar Babaji’s cave was organized and the procession started from the ashram. A meditation, bhajan session, and bhandara was organized at Mahavatar Babaji’s cave.
A special evening meditation was conducted at the ashram.
